All routers/firewalls are now compatible With the rise of broadband availability, most home users use firewalls and/or routers in their homes as a means of protection or simply as a means to connect to the Internet. No longer be hassled by opening or forwarding ports. Direct race launching OLR’s new software will now launch you directly into the race sending along information such as your car file and username allowing you to join hands-free. Redirector-LESS Do not be concerned with installing the Redirector. The Redirector has been eliminated from race launching process. New ActiveX software eliminates need for Java Never worry about downloading Java Virtual Machine again! Onlineracin.com’s new software does not require this download. Preview race fields before joining races Now you can preview who has joined a race without actually entering the race. Select your car file before joining races Are you tired of generic cars? No longer will you have to worry about that as long as you have downloaded the cars from the OLR Showroom. OLR will force users to choose their car or assign the user with one of the default cars shipped with the sim. Upload up to 5 car files with a Premium Membership I’m sure you may run in several different leagues and many of you like to have a different car for a special race or occasion. Now you can upload up to 4 cars into the OLR Showroom. Submit your car setups using the OLR Crew Chief A new feature by Onlineracin.com allows you to submit your own setups, download setups, rate the author of the setups, as well as post your comments. Eliminate confusion and name your race event upon race creation Have you ever needed to run a special event but no one knew what race to join? No longer wonder if they can get into the correct race. Name your race with Event Naming upon race creation. Ability to track time left in each session and/or laps complete Have you ever wondered how much time was left and whether you had enough time to get the wheel hooked up and join the race before it went to the next session? Now you can track the time left in each session as well as the number of laps left in the race right from the new software interface. New Vista Compatibility! OLR is now compatible with Vista. Reasons members cancelled Inability to connect to the web interface software Many customers experienced trouble connecting to our java software interface and failed to ever race on Onlineracin.com. Router/Firewall incompatibility with software The java software package allowed only those routers/firewalls with a certain range of ports open to join the race applet. Disheartened customers quickly cancelled. Confusion on hosting, launching, and joining races Once customers finally connected to the software interface, many did not know what to do in regards to hosting, launching, and/or joining races. Ease of use was nonexistent. Downloading and installing Redirector Anytime you are required to download software and install the product on your own computer, problems can occur. Many customers were unsure of the purpose of the Redirector and were often confused. Problems with Java Virtual Machine conflicts Yet another download was needed in order to race on Onlineracin.com.
