20 drivers will enter the server, along with 2 race admins. We will use the practice session to run the live qualifying for OLRtv. The practice session will be set for 90 minutes.
All drivers on the server will not use the chat feature. Once official qualifying begins, Any driver that chats ANYTHING to the public and shows up in the race chat, will be DQ'ed, and ejected from the server, and removed from the event all together. You may whisper to other drivers waiting to qualify, but if you mess up and it goes out to everyone, that means it was also displayed to the driver on the track, you will be removed, so you better be sure you have done it correctly, or simply don't try and whisper chat. Whisper chatting correctly is YOUR resposibility!!. We will have a Teamspeak channel for anyone who wants to use it. We can also move the driver about to run their qualifying run to another channel by themselves, so they won't be distracted by anyone else on TS. Once your done, we will move you back into the drivers channel.
Only two drivers will be allowed on the track at one time. This will be the driver running their qualifying lap, and the next driver will be sitting on pit raod at the stop line waiting to start their run. All other 18 drivers will remain OFF the track until told to enter the track on pit road.
When the driver on the track has completed the warmup lap, we will whisper to the next driver to hit the "drive" button to get them onto pit road. You will have no more than 30 seconds to get you car on pit road, faiure to do so will be a forfeit on your part
The driver waiting on pit road will "Stop" at the line at the end of pit road, put the car in neutral and idle, but do NOT rev up your engine, simply sit there and idle. If you rev your engine, this may cause the engine to expire during your run, and will be your own fault. As soon as the driver on the track has crossed the start/finish line completing their qual run, you will be told to start your run. No driver will be able to spin their tires taking off pit road. A little chirp will be ok shifting into first gear, but smoke coming from the tires will have you disqualified.
The driver that has just completed their qualifying run, will proceed around to the backstretch, getting low and off the track as quickly as possible. If you get loose and your car comes back on the track, you will be DQ'ed, and will have to qualify your way in thru the LCR race the following week. There should be plenty of time to get slowed down enough, and to maintain control of your car to not interfear with the next driver coming onto the track to start their qualifying run behind you.
After you have completed your qualifying run, simply get out of your car as quickly as possible. You may stay in the server to watch the other drivers, or you can exit the server.
All drivers must be in the server before qualifying starts.
Once you are in the server, no manuel disconnects will be allowed. If the chat shows this, you will be DQ'd, and ejected from the server altogether.
If you simply loose your connection, you will be allowed to get back in. We will make every attempt to get everyone qualified.
If the practice session should run out before all drivers qualify, we will simply reset the session back to zero time and continue.
No driver can drive backwards, doughnuts, or spin the tires.
Remember, 2 admins, and 18 other drivers will be watching, along with the next 35 drivers in OLRtv, along with the TV crew.
Once the 20 drivers have completed their runs, the same process for the next 20 drivers will take place, when this 2nd group is done, the final group consisting of 15 drivers will join a server. everyone else who has already qualified, can watch the other drivers via OLRtv. |
